Laiya Beach Resorts: A Great Escape

February 28th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Laiya Beach

The scorching heat from the merciless sun is getting really oppressive because of the looming threat of El Nino in the hot summer months ahead. That’s why everybody is searching for the perfect way to beat the heat. And hitting the sandy beaches of Boracay and Palawan is the greatest way to cool off but with prices of basically everything rising with the mercury, taking off on a grand vacation may be well beyond the tight budget of average individuals. But you can still enjoy pristine beaches and pampering comfort in topnotch resorts just a little down south from the clogged streets of Metro Manila to the land of the humble balisong and the strong kapeng barako.

Looming over the beach on a rocky slope in San Teodoro Mabini, Batangas, Balai is a bona fide house by the sea. Architecturally designed with nipa huts, bamboo and other elegant hardwood and built for comfort with open spaces and natural environment, this place gives frayed nerves and battered bodies well-deserved rest and relaxation. And if you want some serious deep ocean explorations and feast you eyes on unique sea creatures, “Balai Resort Anilao” and “Balai sa Laiya” is situated near the top diving spots of Batangas.

With rates as low as P3,000.00 pesos per head on a single room which is inclusive of complimentary drinks, 4 buffet meals, bottom less coffee and tea as well as your own hot and cold shower room on a 2 days, 1 night accommodation, this is perfect for singles who want a quick break from stress. And for big families and groups of friends, they offer the Big Room which is good for eight people for P2,500.00 per night although meals are charged separately at P1,450.00 per head which is good for 4 buffets and complementary breakfast each day. For more information, you can contact their Manila Booking Office at (632)240-2927 or visit their website at http://www.balai-resort.com for additional details.

Laroca Trinidad Resort: The Perfect Nature Trip

February 27th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Laguna

The heat is on as the early onslaught of El Nino is showing its scorching face and the sizzling atmosphere is bound to get higher with the summer months ahead. We have to keep our heads cool  before the unforgiving sun cooks us dry because it will get worse in the looming days ahead. So hitting the sandy beaches and refreshing resorts will definitely refresh us all from the humid atmosphere and the sweaty feeling.

And for those who want a break before the Lenten season but do not have the luxury of time for a quick summer break, you can travel a little down south to Laguna and enjoy the breathtaking and lush scenery while basking in their famous swimming pools. And one of the topnotch resorts that is both is close to nature and refreshing with two swimming pools filled with cool spring water is “Laroca”. This wide space is filled with scattered huts that are spacious enough to accommodate a large family. Children can wade in safety in the small pool while the young at heart can have some fun in the deeper, circular pool that features a twisting and turning slide for that adrenaline rush.

They charge a really low P80.00 at the gate on regular days and P100.00 for night swimming because of the powerful security lights and electronic insect repellents to keep those pesky critters at bay. And if you want to stay for the night, rooms can be rented though prices vary depending on the season, and they tend to go up on summer months. If you want a refreshing nature trip, Laroca is the best place to be with their clean facilities, good selection of plants and tress and really low prices.
